Zoom zoom paddle, I think, is the technical term, if we’re being pedantic.

I was lucky enough to get to drive a Hellcat Charger and a Model X with Ludicrous mode back to back in Arizona last year (Thanks, Turo!). The Model X was fast. Rocket ship fast. It felt link getting slingshotted as soon as you hit the go fast pedal (we can’t call it a gas pedal anymore, can we?)

I expected better from MI drivers! Possibly a case of “I have an SUV, ergo i am immune to snow...full speed ahead!”

During this debate let’s not forget the wise words of JC...

Can’t wait for all us Jalops to rush out and buy one new, thus signaling to Subaru and other carmakers that fast wagons are in demand in the US market. That’s totally what we’re all doing, right?

This is pretty surprising to me - I used to do the drive from Grand Rapids to Traverse City yearly around July 4th, and I would *without fail* get a speeding ticket nearly every time, even though I was only going 7-9mph over the limit.

I have a close friend that’s a higher-up at Boeing. She is dying to get out of there. The culture of cutting costs and not listening to engineers has destroyed the company and everyone’s morale. It’s also destroyed the once sterling innovative culture they had - I feel bad for the engineers and pilots that poured

Thanks! I keep thinking about putting her back up on BaT, but I can’t. Put a lot of effort in finding original parts, know I won’t get the money back on it, and it was never really about that. Just wanted a fun mid-engined 90s wet dream.

1st: I recently had card fraud to the tune of $500 at a vape shop (I don’t vape or smoke) in Atlanta (never been to Atlanta) that I was told was most likely from a card skimmer. The only place I EVER use the mag strip is at gas stations. Those readers are rife with skimmers. Long overdue. That being said...

I bought an MR2 on BAT 2 years ago, just finishing up the restoration now. It’s a hoot to drive, really great handling and a cacophony of engine right behind your head.

Much like performance ICE cars, performance electric cars are also less efficient. Shocking.

Isn’t part of the “luxury” experience also ride quality? I’ve driven an i3, and I wouldn’t call the ride Rolls-Royce smooth. If you hit a DC pothole In that thing your champagne would go flying all over the cabin, which would be annoying.

Won’t the seatbelts usually keep you in place during an accident like this? And If you aren’t wearing seatbelts...well, I think you’re probably going to have even bigger problems during a side impact accident, like your head and body ponging into everyone else in the car like a wrecking ball.

Possibly the best known corner name in the world.

I’m sure they also reinforced the frame to make sure it doesn’t handle like two bricks connected by A piece of paper right?

Spent two weeks driving across Africa in a 70 series and let me tell you...they can keep that forbidden fruit. My back will never be the same.

This does look fantastic - and would be an amazing car to drive here in the states. Unfortunately, although I’d love to be proved wrong, there is absolutely no market for a small electric hatchback.

1967 Shelby Mustang (GT500). Even if you’re a Camaro person, you can’t deny it’s iconic and striking, and as American as apple pie.

And also...long live cars that don’t have this kind of tech.

As someone that values their privacy, this is certainly concerning. I don’t like apps or my phone sending location data out like a beacon.
