The wording is ambiguous. The verbiage is “may do X so long as does not Y and does not Z.”

The inclusion of an “also” or a “neither” would make the meaning clear; however, without either the rule can be read either way. I know that Deadspin seems willing to die on the hill of “No, it’s clear and must be read our way,

From the very article: “so long as the NFL Personnel does not own more than 5 percent of the company’s stock and does not serve as an officer or director of the company.” (emphasis original)

This would be a much better piece of journalism without all the innuendo.

But then, of course, it boils down to an owner having approximately 0.1% of his net worth invested in a company that has 1% of its assets in a gaming corporation. An investment the NFL is clearly aware of and has decided is not an issue.

Not

During the olympics, teams are not allowed to play against any teams except in games (makes sense, it’s a tournament) and they are also allowed only one hour of ice team a day for practice. Nope, the post-game celebration had nothing to do with the game.

It’s not really back and forth, the Canadians treat this as a training tournament.

The U.S. takes the Four Nations and (lately) the World’s, the Canadians take the Olympics. As much as I love the U.S. winning these tournaments, the Canadian team uses them as training events.

I enjoyed the security woman who tried to legitimately restrain him.

Then the other security guards had to pull her off while simultaneously pretending to actually want Gronkowski to stop.

She was last seen being lectured next to announcer’s table, I don’t think we’ll be seeing her again.

The best part about this is that the loser had to cut their hair. Going into it, everyone picked the (larger) conservative; he was a ‘real man’ after all.

Trudeau (who is just repackaged neoliberalism with light left tendencies) wrecked him. It was nice, kind of.

If he could have kept his id in check, we wouldn’t have Republican ghouls running the show in DC today.

I prefer an oblique hammer for an equal-area at small scale.

I think he waits a week or two. Maybe respond to it this week, but be noncommittal; let Show have a win on Raw over some jobber and call Shaw out at the end... then Shaq accepts the next week.

Stylistically, it’s weird that you use third person plural to refrain from gendering the subject in the first sentence... and then immediately gender them in the second.

Pick a pronoun and stick with it. I’d advice one that’s gender-neutral, but that’s up to you.

“Though the boat belonged to Fernández, investigators from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission still have not been able to conclude who was driving at the time of the crash.”

“Imagine what his numbers would be if he were able to hit Gronk in-stride instead of “in the vicinity”.”

Now playing

This list is lacking The Waitresses “Christmas Wrapping” which is basically about wanting to get it on all year and finally getting to on Christmas.

“The perfect gift for me would be completions and connections left from last year....”

I’m glad you could slip a “Brady is too soft because he’s from California” into the middle of your hot take. It’s been a few years since I heard it.

If you aren’t going to credit who made the large map, you could at least say that it’s a Value-By-Alpha map.
