I agree. I was mostly kidding, but I do think there are lot of these cupcakeries (it's a word, right?) that popped up in order to make a quick buck and knew they wouldn't last.

Sure, but if you've had an individual car of any make an model that runs well and hasn't had any problem and it's paid off, isn't it silly to sell it for less of a return than most people would think just to buy a cheaper, theoretically more reliable car?

I think it was a fantastic business plan....if the idea was to ride the crest of a trend, clean up and then go out of business. They definitely did that part perfectly!

I've had this same experience too and when I mentioned it to a salesperson a couple of years ago, he said a lot of customers are saying the same thing. He told me they're making shoes a tiny bit wider these days and that most people with a true medium foot won't notice the width as much as just siding forward a bit…

I've tried to get stuff at J. Crew over the past few years. I would say their sizes haven't drifted too much but I only say that specifically because their sizing is so damn inconsistent to begin with, I don't know how anyone would ever be able to tell.
