Tracing would not produce that kind of image. It’s not that easy to actually trace something (like you need special papers/light tables etc) you also cannot trace the values in an actual photograph (versus a line drawing). I think that being victimized in a home invasion would be extremely traumatic. And I also believe that rape is of course very traumatic. I don’t think it’s appropriate to minimize the damage of a violent crime just because she wasn’t raped.

She was the victim of a violent crime and will likely be psychologically damaged by that experience. So it is okay to question a whether or not a violent assault happened but questioning rape would be a problem? Sorry but Jezebel needs to do better.
