I totally agree. I very clearly said that although it is serious disease there is a measure of personal responsibility. He has had and still does have an opportunity to seek help. I hope he does, before it’s irreversible.

If a person drinks long enough the brain damage will eventually cause behavioural changes. Where I live you can’t even go to rehan unless you have detox ed for 2 to 4 weeks because of lingering cognitive impairment. In same cases it is irreversible even when sober.
