This is the dumbest possible take.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of our lost friend “Thoughts and Prayers.”

Go in the summer to take advantage of the extra long day and lack of rain. Temps are mild and there are often great views. Rainier is about an hour and a half outside the city, so you can drive down in the AM, hike around and see the mountain close up before heading back for dinner. If you’re not doing that kind of

It stems from my warped view that pointless bigotry is bad, you fucking moron.

“If you ignore all the bad things, everything looks great!”

If you think it’s important to cut benefits, why not do it for everyone?

At every company I’ve ever worked at, the whole point of profits is to reward shareholders. Sometimes you get some small increases, but if your employees aren’t restless, why pay them when you can pay yourself? If your theory is right, then we should be seeing big wage increases right now. Corporate profits have been

Ah yes, employers are famous for raising worker pay when profits rise. That’s absolutely a real thing that happens.

If you want info, here’s a breakdown of what we know about the current bill. This won’t be exact, because the GOP is refusing to release a copy until 5:30pm, because they want to make sure there’s as little time as possible for the public to react before they vote on Monday.

Neither of those are facts. This comment is bad (not good).

I’m honestly surprised that this is the first batch where I can recall seeing “as an amateur bodybuilder...” in a letter.

That has nothing to do with Bitcoin as an investment. Some people like that as a feature of Bitcoin as a currency, but that’s not the question. “There’s a finite amount of Joe Morgan rookie cards, which allows people to buy and hold them while supply gets lower and demand gets higher.”

Please explain how the technology makes Bitcoin a worthwhile investment, rather than a medium of exchange.

That is what I’m saying. It’s no different than gambling, or buying a pack of baseball cards, or buying pork bellies on a hunch.

You should see the returns that lottery winners get on a $5 ticket.

Even better, he was talking about S-CHIP, which funds healthcare for children. So by his logic children need to help themselves by getting a job.

Depends on your particulars, but in a few years most families that make less than $75k will see a tax increase under this bill.

If I were to get a huge inheritance, I would be fine paying some taxes on the amount over $11 million. It’s not like my life would be worse with an unearned windfall of “only” $14 million instead of $12 million.

Some will. Most of the reduction, though, comes from people dropping out because the resulting premium increase will drive them from the market. That’s the dominant effect.
