Uh buddy, the IRS link you provide doesn’t say that. It explicitly states that qualified parking is not included in income. That resource is actually really great in showing how many things that can logically be seen as income are excluded from calculation of taxable income by the IRS.

It could be viewed that way, but there are a lot of in-kind benefits excluded from income tax like: parking at your office, the coffee served there, the imputed rent that you give to yourself when you own a home, all college scholarships, etc. The issue with grad school is (a) how intertwined the student status is

One I forgot that was relevant to me when I was back visiting friends: the main Smithsonian museums can be an absolute zoo for tourists, so if you want a mental break cross the grass over to the Hirshhorn. I’m not a big modern art person, but at least 1/3 of the collection is interesting no matter what and they don’t

What is fake about this post?

FYI, the IRS has no say in what the tax rate is.

At least you provided us all with a great life hack of your own on how to create a safe space free of things that actually matter in the world. Now if we could only life hack away the person forcing you to click on articles you don’t like.

It’s fair to investigate possible crimes. There’s no possible crime in this made up scandal. It makes exactly as much sense to investigate the Uranium One transaction as it does to investigate whether Ted Cruz is the Zodiac Killer.

Did you bother to read the post? What you’re saying has been completely debunked.

FYI looks like there was a shooting at an elementary school in California today.

Seems like just yesterday he was demanding that we build a wall. Get your story straight Stan.

I understand your position, but the problem is there’s no data. All we know are that mass shootings in general have increased and that, anecdotally, there have been plenty of mass shootings at schools. Didn’t the Oregon and Va Tech shootings fit that bill?

Can’t decide which version I like more: someone demanding that a dog “checkmate my butt” or someone telling you to “checkmate my butt-dog.”

But, have they? The only stats I’ve seen show that mass shootings overall are up, and there have been enough school shootings that there’s no anecdotal reason to believe in “reduced bodycounts.” Any stats to back that up?

That’s a really good insight about the hate mail. I’d also plug the piece as one of the better versions of the “let’s go find some rednecks” genre, since the author is actually willing to press his subjects on their nonsense.

You don’t have to be super precise, just think of it this way: if you say it’s an allergy, the entire kitchen has to come to a screeching halt as they clean the station where your food is being made and take great pains to make sure there is no cross contamination whatsover. If your medical issue means that you have a

I’ve redlined Oxford commas into contracts and I regret nothing.

So what you’re saying is that we should disarm all domestic abusers, yes? That would be a good start.

To respond to parts:

And I completely get how you can look at modern history and develop a powerful distrust of power, whether that’s from mobs or autocrats. I just see small arms as counterproductive to freedom because (a) they’ll mostly be used by people with an extreme view of what their freedom allows and what constitutes oppression

But wait, does that disclosure even count if it’s not in an email footer?????
