Those are two different consoles. The 3DS and N3DS bare the same exact name but the latter has new features. A cheap ploy to basically almost nullify current customers when developers utilize the new buttons.

Because PS1 and PS2 (PS3 HD re-releases) are already selling like hotcakes on PSN. Offering PS3 only titles allows them to cash in on the crowd that skipped on the PS3 last gen.

I'd have to agree. HDMI is the new standard. Granted I don't know your financial situation so buying a new HD TV can be a very big buy but you'll have to get with the times eventually.
