I only breath artisinal oxygen.

"And that's another thing I don't like, these newfangled barbed weiners."

Yeah, but isn't it like CGI stunt hoo-hoos? I can kind of take or leave Von Trier, so I think I'm going to pass unless this thing gets some killer reviews.

More FALSE EQUIVALENCE in the media!

Exact same. It's both crazy over-the-top and a perfect fit for the song. Absolutely love it.

Oregon Trail: Aguirre

Grandpa, you've lived an interesting life.

Gotcha. That is an interesting take. I feel like somebody (not it) could write a pretty interesting paper on the class elements related to depictions of blood sports. Like, the bad guy in "The Most Dangerous Game" is pretty clearly upper-class, but then again that's more of foxhunt-with-a-man type thing than a spector

People used to treat executions/hangings/lynchings/etc. like a day at the fair. I'm not sure about the details re: blood sports, but I don't find it hard to believe that they could have existed at different points in history.

I've never even heard of this movie before, but that picture really is striking. If the movie itself lives up to it I'm going to have to watch.

Finally somebody who understands that you turn INTO the skid.

That or a bad case of Cherub Worm.

The working title was "Voluntary, Contractual Relationships AND ONLY Voluntary, Contractual Relationships is Magic". Changed for grammatical reasons.

In that case, no, I wouldn't be concerned.

Dammit! I didn't mean HTML speak! Actually though… that's not bad.

"<movie title="" x="">: Oh Shit! We Forgot Something"

I'm in a fantasy football league through Yahoo so I still see their click-baity stories multiple times a week. Sometimes when I'm feeling particularly masochistic I go ahead and read the comments.

Same. The comments here are the only source of reliable laughter/nerdery/something approximating human feeling that I get at work. Comment sections on most other sections (especially news sites, holy hell) actually make me feel worse.

I think I actually came across this movie because of a previous (as in, not this week's) AV discussion/thread about "Primer." IT'S ALL ONE BIG LOOP

I really like this movie. It's one of my go-to hipster picks for people, where the "I bet you've never heard of it" isn't code for "I'm better than you" dickery but instead for "Hey, this is a movie that got 0 publicity in the U.S. and you should check it out. I think you'll really enjoy it!"
