Yup, the only reason I’m familiar with these brands is because I have 2 teenage cousins and their mom asked me about the shops because they came across them while online shopping. I did some digging and it led me to all the youtube videos, and consumer reviews.

There are 2 Aldi locations within 10 minutes of each other where I live in SoCal. I’ve seen a steady increase in the amount of people shopping there. Yesterday I went during the middle of the day when most grocery stores are empty, and it was pretty busy.

I totally believe you, but that’s really surprising to me because my experience has been the opposite. Every male vegan I know gets soo much more shit for being vegan than the women I know who are vegan. Like, to the point of people telling them they aren’t real men because they don’t eat meat. It’s so stupid. 

I’ve been a vegetarian since the end of last year, and was recently talking to a friend of mine who is vegan. Both of us are the type that don’t even mention our diet unless someone specifically asks, and we don’t care what other people eat and would never try to convince someone to stop eating what they want.

Native Bowl at the Mississippi Marketplace is awesome for vegan food. The Mississippi bowl is delicious. The wait can be long, but totally worth it. And I say this as someone who isn’t even vegan. There are several other food trucks/stands at the marketplace that are worth checking out too.

That seems to be a trend around here. Plenty of people always looking for advice but when you tell them something they don’t want to hear, they ignore it. They just want us to validate the choice they want to make.

Even when I used to eat meat and fish, I couldn’t get down with eating it raw. Something about the texture was just off putting to me.
