Disappointingly (although less so after reading this), they actually don’t serve any hot dogs out of the Wienermobile. They just hand out little wiener whistles.

technically it’s S3XY (still bad). Can’t wait until it’s S3XY Cyber... /s
For keeping kids out of your stash, I feel like a basic cash lockbox is a WAY cheaper option than the Tulip or Snugbox
Woof, just recently took my microwave apart to fix it (ended up needing to replace a door switch). Glad I didn’t electrocute myself.
One of the people in the test didn’t even think to put the headset on? That’s at least one pretty low bar that I’d like to think I’d clear before ultimately condemning myself and all the passengers to a fiery death.
This tier of performance tire is pretty universally referred to as UHP in the tire industry. I believe historically it was kind of a speed rating cut-off. Basically any performance tire with a W speed rating or above was considered UHP and V or less was HP. As speed ratings have generally shifted higher, HP has sort…
I’ve put more thought worrying about your first scenario than I care to admit. Most of the time when I’m flying it’s for work, and I put my carry-on overhead and my laptop bag under the seat in front of me (pretty straightforward). The rare times though when I have to check a bag, I usually bring a backpack as a…
Oh yeah, I got that part, I more mean the creature comfort stuff. Like I would imagine the ITS might come standard with stuff like heated/ventilated seats, HUD, adaptive cruise, etc., where as I feel like on like BMW and Audi, that kind of stuff is often an add-on. Again, I don’t know this for a fact, just wondering.…
I wonder how the Integra Type S compares to those cars when they’re similarly optioned. I could be off mark here (haven’t really been in the market for a new car lately), but I always kind of got the impression that European automakers’ “starting at” cars were a bit more barebones. Although, admittedly, I think a lot…
I maintain that Passengers would have been great if they had made it into a psychological thriller instead of an action romance. Maybe have the audience POV start when Jennifer Lawrence wakes up and you get to kind of figure things out with her. It would be cool seeing Pratt as a villain too instead of the overused…
I know it was tongue in cheek, but I don’t believe the bugeyes (with the EJ20) had issues with ringland failures. I was under the impression it was only the 2.5 liter engines that did. I think the main mechanical knock on the bugeye models were having a fragile transmission, but even that I think got more or less…
You got me to play wordle for the first time in months. 4 guesses (Fortunately I didn’t fall into the -ound trap).
I’m sure r/fuckcars is already all over this.
They’re no doubt good tires, but you might be overstating the wet grip. Most high end UHP all-season tires are going to perform better on a wet road (at the expense of performing worse in the snow). Still, Tire Rack actually ran a direct comparison of the CC2 vs some other Michelin offerings (including the Pilot Sport…
If you want UHP summer tires again, Michelin leads the pack still with the Pilot Sport 4S. Other considerations based on price: Bridgestone Potenza Sport, Michelin Pilot Super Sport, Continental ExtremeContact Sport.
I hate all of this so much.
I continually find the CX-50 incredibly handsome. I legitimately have no clue what my next car is going to be (and hopefully I won’t have to think about it for some years still), but I’d at the very least be test driving one if I was in the market for a family vehicle today.
Ugh, this hits too close to home. Have an old car that’s actually in decent shape (it’s drivable, not mid rebuild or anything), but needs some TLC (and to be driven!) more than I’ve been giving it since having kids. Or at least having kids is the excuse I say for not making time for it.
I’m ashamed to admit I didn’t realize the Maxima driver had a Gotye music video playing on is head unit until rewatching just now. This man is an enigma.
It was the example used in the original QOTD post.
