Yeah, I’ve got absolutely nothing against Volvo. Their PHEV V60 would be just about my ideal dad wagon (just can’t really afford it). I just love the simplicity of that particular failed demonstration.

Now playing

My mind immediately went to funny car videos. The first one that popped in my head is the Ford Raptor that makes a jump and lands rather catastrophically. But then I remembered this old, trusty Volvo auto braking failure video. There’s another one out there where someone gets hit at low speed, but for my money, I’m

This probably had more to do with me starting to really pay attention to cars when these came out, but I feel like I need to toss some love to the SN95.  I feel like these things were everywhere in the mid 90s.

You gotta tell guests on this segment not to wear white. Nate has arms.

Is this one of the few times “ironically” would have been more appropriate?

Miata or Wagon

I adored Nardo Grey when Audi started using it on RS cars, and even kind of dug the non-metallic look on some of the TRD tacos/4runners, but that look is definitely getting overplayed now. So pretty much just like any other trend.

I just learned this within the last month or so (although it was in regard to cartons for chicken broth and such).  I’m definitely appreciating the lack of glugging in the kitchen.  Going to have to try it with my next oil change too.

While I don’t disagree with the premise, the example of cameras seems kind of misleading since I’d wager the majority of people buying cameras today are photographers/hobbyists who are happy to pay for nicer ones. Cameras were pretty common for average people to own a couple decades ago, but smartphones have turned

Anecdotally, I feel like Honda/Acura has aggressively bright headlights. Back when I was a teenager, my parents had an early ‘00s Acura TL, and they got flashed constantly by people thinking the high beams were on. Fast forward to today, my last couple cars have had pretty bright (IMO) LED headlights, but I don’t

As a Nashville-area resident, I-24 was my first thought as well. I drive on 65 between Franklin and Nashville pretty regularly and it’s a night and day difference with 24. Chattanooga is super frustrating too.

The recipe included on the bake of Baker’s chocolate squares is the ultimate brownie, IMHO. They’re dense and fudgy and simple to make.

I really need to bite the bullet and watch Station 11. It’s a show that’s been floating around the periphery of my media radar for months now, and every time I hear about it, it’s in a positive light.

My 2003 WRX was in Midnight Black Pearl and had a very similar effect in different lights (just blue instead of purple).

I still remember the first time I ever saw (or at least noticed) Mazda’s Soul Red.  It was at the LA Autoshow under dramatic lighting and it was straight up gorgeous.

This seem a lot more complicated and nuanced than tire companies sitting on their hands when it comes to finding a solution.” For one, tire companies are constantly developing new compounds, lately with an emphasis on recyclability/sustainability, and I would be shocked if this isn’t something they’re already working

I loved my Bugeye WRX. I don’t think getting one now (even if it was pristine) would bring me the same joy, but I hope to one day have another car that does.

Millennials are killing the used car market!”

(Just beware of places with “free delivery” that then turn around and charge you a “service fee.”)

Tires generally wear faster too (instant torque + generally heavier vehicles)
