No it isn't. Cocoa butter is not chocolate. If it doesn't contain cocoa solids, it tastes different and it ain't chocolate.

I'm not interested in trying it just because I'm not much of a meat eater. But I will take a rabbit fur coat since we are eating them and not just killing them for fashion.

Considering Kojima's love for meta-gameplay, and the on-going theme in Silent Hill games whereby the game tracks your 'actions' and changes things up based on seemingly innocuous behaviour, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the reason why people have such differing experiences.
