I don’t get it. You have video evidence, of multiple infractions. Mob bosses are put away on less. This is wrapped up in one phone call. “Hi, is Vontaze there?”, “Hello?”, “Yes Mr. Burfict? You are no longer allowed to play in the NFL. See you in court i’m sure, but until then, may the one punch man visit your groin

When did he stand over him? He immediately ran with the ball to the endzone. Produce the video of him standing over Gio if that’s what he did.

Yes, I’m sure it was purely incidental. Burfict has a squeaky clean reputation and is entitled to the benefit of the doubt, unlike that career offender Ryan Shazier.

If you watch after the hit, Brown’s hands clenched and his arms flexed outward in an instant and involuntary fencing response - I suppose that while Brown was flying through the air immediately after the hit he might have thought “let me fake the physiological symptoms of a severe concussion” but I’m gonna guess

Burfict was born in South Los Angeles. His father, a gang member and convicted cocaine dealer, was incarcerated most of the time and never had a relationship with his son.

Um.. wasn’t he essentially unconscious? I guess he is a pretty damn good actor if he can act whilst being asleep.

You know, I’m still trying to figure out how people are continuing to say that Pittsburgh was the dirty team in this. The sideline incident with Coach Munchak was flagged. But if you watch the whole play, Nelson was charging with no intent to slow down. Munchack grabbed him so he didn’t fall down. He just so happened

No, it’s perfectly normal to make negative assumptions about someone with a record of dirty plays like Burfict. He’s made his bed, now he can lie in it. Maybe after he gets a ton of calls against him that a cleaner player wouldn’t have, he’ll decide to clean up his act.

There’s a lotta butthurt in these comments... so much butthurt one would think you all had skyline chili yesterday...

The part I am struggling with is the reaction I’ve seen from Bengals fans looking to justify the Burfict knee to Roethlisberger’s shoulder. There is a lot of “He was looking for leverage” being thrown around.

Not sure how one is seeking to get “leverage” after a tackle when the play is done and against a prone

And intentionally twisting Cam Newton and Greg Olsen’s ankles after tackles, and...

to being their asshole who directly cost them the game Season

This was a guy that, while in high school, was being heavily recruited by USC. That is, up until he played against USC commit Matt Barkley and spent the better part of the game trying to destroy his knee. That’s when USC told him to look other places. Burfict has been like this since birth.

Even if his hit on Bell was clean, he has enough history that the assumption will be that he made a dirty hit, or that it was an intentional injury. It might not be right to make that assumption, but its human nature to have a bias. It’s just a matter of time before a serial dirty player like Burfict ends someone's

It’s so crazy that he tried to get to Brown as Brown was being taken off the field. Even assuming he was trying to express concern or good will, given his history in general, his history with the Steelers, and how high tensions were all game, why on earth would he think anyone would give him the benefit of the doubt

so I think he meant to knee him

There were at least three instances when he should have been kicked out of that game Saturday. When will the NFL start directing officials to remove out-of-control head-hunting players from football games?

Had not seen that Maxx Williams hit until today. Dude is trying to injure people! Purposefully putting the crown of your helmet into the chin of a player away from the play is a whole different level of reckless. Launch his ass from the league.

I went to ASU when he was there. He made so many dumb plays there but people let it go and chalked it up to immaturity - plus he was a damn good college player. I kind of stuck up for him because I figured he’d mature but honestly I am pretty embarrassed that I ever rooted for him.
