As an S65 owner I can tell you that it does get attention. It’s understated compared to a traditional supercar, but the charcoal and chrome rims, quad exhausts and “v12 biturbo” badge get a lot of comments from pedestrians in the city. Also, a cold start registers on the Richter scale.

the SL engine is known to have been underrated from the factory, and either way the corvette only makes 30 more horsepower which is essentially a wash. You wouldn’t notice it or be able to use it anyway. 300 lb-ft of torque is a huge noticeable difference. It’s not splitting hairs, the SL is way more potent.

Actually the SL65 is more exclusive than all of them, always has been. Look at the production numbers before you assume. Also It has nearly double the torque of the 458 Italia, but with a way smoother, quiter ride, and would destroy the 458 in a 60-90 mph roll on.

the 65 series cars were not mass produced. They only sold 500 per year and were special order cars only. Their price is the same as a Gallardo and just as fast in a straight line. Also that v12 is used in the Huarya. It's definitely a supercar.
