Yes. They are more likely because they are next in line to the presidency if the president dies and 8 of the 14 VPs who would become president came into the presidency as a result of death or resignation. Of course they are statistically more likely to become president.

Julian Castro was reprimanded for violating the Hatch Act when he endorsed Clinton in the capacity of his cabinet role. Not a huge red flag, but Clinton didn’t need another thing that could be spun as a “federal government scandal” in her campaign.
