This really reminds me of a Supernanny episode I watched not long ago - the parents both had kids from their first marriages, and then kids of their own as well - and there was different rules for each of the kids. Each felt that it wasn't their place to discipline the others kids, and it was breaking up their

I have been pinteresting like a mad woman for the last 24hrs. There are some great ideas on there, especially for small trees. Honestly, I don't really celebrate Christmas so much as a religious holiday (because I am not, nor is my family), but just as a family time, and also a time to make your house look AWESOME.

Yesterday a facebook friend posted a link to an article stating that the "lead researcher" of the HPV vaccine has serious concerns about it's safety. Note: this story has been circling for YEARS and has long been refuted. I commented and told this woman the same, and linked to the snopes article. I also commented, AS

I'm really surprised to see so many people taking this story at face value. Come on, there has to be so much we are not being told here!

You could try seeing an incontinence nurse - there are some jobs that doctors just aren't as good at :) They probably wont get to the bottom of the cause, but know heaps of techniques and products that can help you. Bladder training is really effective and I encourage you to try it.

There's something about December that makes me stabby. I just got back from the mall, which is just horrible this time of year. Walk with a fucking purpose people! Don't stop suddenly in the middle of a walkway! Don't text, steer a trolley and try and hang on to your 5 misbehaving children at the same time! Good god.

Rosehip oil!

I thought the bleached-brows trend had been and gone. Lara Stone did it right, everyone else did it wrong.

I'm so excited about Blair and Seth, I'm having chest pain. I need GIFs.

I just... I can't even...

Makeup, I believe. Her face might be a bit thinner than it used to be, and I don't think her eyebrows are as dramatically arched as they used to be either.

I LOVE Kim K's hair.

Oh, I got the impression from the article that she hadn't been officially diagnosed or medically treated for pneumonia - she had been taking vitamins for "flu-like symptoms" and the pneumonia had been diagnosed on autopsy. I mean, young people can still die from pneumonia (I'm an ICU nurse), but you are right, it's

Pneumonia can kill. Especially when you choose to treat it with vitamins instead of you know...medicine.

Not that relevant but the last 2 flights I was on weren't booked out and I didn't have a neighbour for either of them! It was amazing.

I can't believe this wasn't already a thing. It's kind of...compulsory in Australia. Every time I read something about the US health system, I'm shocked.

Sorry, had to pipe up (this has been weighing me down a lot lately) - clinical staff are not subject to ocassional assaults, they are subject to FREQUENT assaults. Not a shift goes by without me getting groped, or having objects thrown at me, or getting screamed at. Honestly, a shooting at a hospital does not surprise

Look, I live in a high crime area, so if I hear bashing on my front door at 2am, I am going to assume some shithead is trying to break in. REASONABLE. Therefore, as a reasonable person, I would NOT answer the door with a gun, I would call the police.
