Sadly you heard right. I don't know how much they've changed with the transition to Broadway, but I had the chance to see the West End production last year.
She definitely didn't pass as 50 anymore, but I had the feeling that staging, missing turbans and that horrible wig had lots to do with her looking that old.

phew… but will it be as raw and good as the "original"?

Oh, I am SO looking forward to whatever bitchy line Michaela will throw at the camera then <3 !

I have the feeling that this kind of character treatment is a lesson learned from Community. I know, it's hard to compare, but I always thought they were more than just vehicles to a gag (something GG did with it's "quirky characters of Stars Hollow – they were ony running gags, but no humans).

I would say the ´96 revival of Chicago improved on the original show from the mid '70s. Ann Reinking kinda perfected Fosse's choreography and the whole show was given a more timeless feel to it – compared to the campy original.

B+

Why exactly is Boxxxy Mandrews still in this competition? I don't get it.

Now let's just hope the AV Club will give us a better reviewer. Sorry Sava, sashay away please!

So each reward challenge the winner gets to share a douche?

As if Jayson Whitmore knew what do with that ;)

I was 13 when the book was released, but being the young gay kid, I already wanted it. No chance. Found it in a SohoBookstore at the age of 20, complete with that original silver bag. Too expensive. Turned 35 and my friends somehow got their hands on it an it was the perfect gift for my birthday. 22 years worth

Beyoncé on rollerskates as Pearl? Count me in :D

oh, I might have missed that… gotta watch it again…

+ Vicky AND Garrett on stage!
+ elevator music (god, I miss Troy)
+ classic absurd classes like Club Club
+ Starburns

my exact thought reading that line…

Hm, technically they were in Berlin (West), wich had its own status. Noone would have called Berlin West Germany.

Who doesn't remember her hilarious Norma Desmond moment after the chemical face peeling… Understandable, that she had to go, but you're right, she was killing those one liners…

I always thought "mangina" was just the latin term for "boypussy"… hm…

At least we got our dear old show horse Vicky back. So glad when I saw her up on stage.
