What if you did summers in the rear and winters up front for the initial swap? I know they say that if you only replace 2 tires, put the best (in this case, grippiest) tires in the back. Might be a little less unsettling. Thanks for the reply and explanation. Much appreciated!

Can you enlighten me as to why you wouldn’t be able to drive to the tire swapping location with the first 2 sets, and swap them, then drive home to get the remaining 2 tires, then drive back to swap those and then back home again? Your wife’s time wouldn’t be wasted and it’d be less trips. Are the winter and summer

Are you sure you want to get a hand-me-down Ranger?

This happened more often than I’d care to admit when I drove semi. Gotta keep the wheels moving or you’re not making money. Team driving was the worst. At least when I was running solo I was forced to take the mandatory breaks. Running team, unless the other driver was driving, I was generally awake. Not enough good

I replaced the power steering reservoir, and o-ring and fluids on my Honda Odyssey to resolve a strange noise coming from the power steering. Does that count? Definitely didn’t feel it was worthy of pictures though.

Not nearly as detailed or scary, but still unsettling. When I was driving truck, I was coming across South Dakota in the middle of the night. I drove probably 300 miles without seeing any cars. None on the interstate heading either direction, or any on any of the exits or towns I went by. I was thinking I missed the

When I was driving truck, the “student” driver I was training was driving in Wyoming while I was sleeping in back. He wakes me up because the truck died. Unfortunately, we were in a construction zone on the opposite side of the Interstate, so we had the tiny shoulder to pull over on. Traffic could barely squeeze by.

Gravel trucks are the worst. I was riding down the interstate once and kept getting hit with things on the legs. Couldn’t figure it out for a while, but it kept getting more frequent and hurt a lot more. Looked farther down the road and saw a dump truck. It was starting to bounce up and hit my hands and arms at that

When I used to drive truck OTR, I was sleeping while my co-driver was heading across Wyoming. The truck died in a construction zone while we were in the fast lane of the other side of the interstate, so there was very minimal shoulder to pull on to. He woke me up and we were quickly out of ideas to get it moving. The

That makes sense. When I had an ‘issue’ where I’d put my Honda Odyssey in reverse and it started squealing, I took to Google and found that it was because the brake pads were needing to be replaced. I thought it was odd that it would do it only in reverse and it would do it even before I started moving. Sure enough,

Probably my most memorable save was when I was riding my Ninja 500 home from college one day. I was 2 hours into my 3 hour trip in a somewhat scenic part of the trip. The highway travelled along a fairly long lake and there were hills and trees which is drastically different from the rest of the trip. I was moving at

The Kimball, SD shootout? Hadn't heard he was sentenced, but 7 years wasn't enough.

I love when my girls help with whatever I’m doing around the house. Glad to see yours enjoy helping as well. I would see about getting some safety glasses for her too. Here’s a multi-colored pack that would work with lots of outfit choices:

It's actually 80,000 pounds, so 40 tons.

I drove truck for a year with most of it as a team driver. I found that most of the time I was driving while tired. Sleeping in a moving truck isn't the quality sleep I was used to, and especially starting out I had problems getting to sleep as I couldn't sleep in a moving vehicle before that. When I started, the lead

Mine is a 2007. Got it a couple years ago and it’s been pretty good aside from the doors. Think they had the transmission issues fixed by the 2007 model year.

I’ve got an Odyssey now and one door set off the alarm when we were going to buy it so we made the buyer fix it (~$800 parts and labor). Over the winter, the door got stuck with some ice and the cable broke when trying to open it, so that needed a new motor (~$260 parts). Now the other door is starting to have issues

Probably didn't look like a normal mustang because the tire pressure was off.
