@sweetelectro: I can't wait to watch The Simpsons in 4K!

The most astonishing thing about all this is that it seems the Mayan calendar was off by more than a year!

@a sexy hot dog: Things can often become unintentionally comical when they are interpreted literally.

@Seasonone: Ew, you mean he "followed" her? I wish someone would have clued me in earlier that I was trying to defend a sociopath.

@Seasonone: Why do you think he was shocked? I don't know exactly what Anil Dash told him, but I assumed it was just something along the lines of: a higher than average percentage of twitter traffic is from black people.

@Elon James White: I took it to mean that, as he learned about her, he began to wonder about how and whether she was fitting into some larger culture in certain regards, rather than that he was forming conclusions about those cultures.

@ManiacalShen: I think the he chose his example carefully, because she is, as he stated in the first paragraph, his polar opposite in three clear ways - woman/man, black/white, sexy/dorky. Of course there are other ways in which they don't contrast at all. They're both mammals, for instance. But, I think the point was

Wow, this post is like a Rorschach test! The responses are fascinating. In the end, though, it's mostly just depressing, because this is, ultimately, a terrible medium for explaining ourselves and coming to understand one another.

@gemcosta: Hmm, maybe a 600dpi screen and a magnifying glass? In fact, a mandatory monocle accessory would be hilariously awesome.

@Brownski: I was just going to suggest Autostitch - it blows my mind every time. For polaroid emulators, I've been liking ShakeItPhoto.

It took me forever to figure this out. I should have just looked at the tags.

One of those is similar to a photo I took last weekend, also on a 3GS. I am addicted to cell phone photography.

What a monster. Next he's going to say video games aren't art.

@sam4sb: Yeah, and the video is actually interesting and charming. Much more than I was expecting from a "FIRST!" project. Good job, Flakjakt.

Oh dear. I just realized that a technology capable of humanizing telemarketers could have disastrous consequences.

It's nearly physically impossible for me to keep myself from commandeering a person's TV to fix a warped aspect ratio, even if I'm meeting the person for the first time. Thankfully, my friends are usually able to cover for me by laughing it off as eccentricity.
