@Ghost_in_the_Machine: Abusive childhood aside, how much do we really remember from our childhoods? I had a troubled childhood which might affect my recollection, but my 12 year old barely recalls that she was in preschool and that wasn't that long ago.

@Cupajo: I think it was a reference to an early Fringe episode where Walter was excitedly talking about his Betamax, than a blatant 80's reference. Tying it all together the past and the present.

@Chip Overclock: I think we also have to give credit to the abusive step-father. Fauxlivia's mother never died and was there to protect her. I'm not saying that Walter's experiments didn't traumatize her, but how long did she suffer under the step-father?

Thoses shots look great, but we saw the trailer for this film last night and here are my kid's exact words, "Like I would want to watch an entire movie with a kid with dead eyes." Shudder.
