Fargo above Mad Men? Whereas Fargo kinda stumbled quite a few times, Mad Men continued with the level of quality it's always had.

I actually prefer Hard Eight over Punch-Drunk Love, but maybe that will change with rewatches.

If that teaser actually gave us the mood and themes of the film… I can't say I'm particularly interested.

Y'know what? I can see that happening.

It wasn't? Well, it was an enjoyable trailer. What is the movie like then?

I understand the move fine, and that's mostly the reason I enjoy it, but I don't think it was that well executed is all.

Ugh, it wasn't even a main option for 'best movie of the year'. How!?

I couldn't decide which AV Club was more wrong about in terms of movies: Godzilla or Apes. I went with Godzilla since it was rather disappointing.

I put in The Lego Movie for that. It was pretty good for the most part, but… the humor is kinda cringey and it's not that deep of a movie. I'm baffled critics rated it so highly.

Is it not? It seems to be getting lower ratings than the average PT Anderson movie. Personally, I love everything he's done.

So with M. Night directing, Paul Schrader writing and Cage and Depp starring? I'd watch the fuck out of whatever movie that dream-team produced.

Depends on the marketing.

I didn't know who the hell he was until I saw that show. I enjoyed seeing him pop up in Jane Eyre (2011) and Snowpiercer. Works better as a side role, I think.

Well, to be fair, the audience that cares if it's based on a known story or not is a very small percentage of what the actual audience of this movie will be.

What are people bitching about? Good director? Check. Good cast? Check. That's all I really need.

Really? I think he has one of the best laughs I've ever heard.

A Bug's Life is one of those movies where I can't remember if I ever actually saw it.

I'm sure that has a bit to do with people's general attitudes towards silent and b&w films. People go in thinking it will be a gimmicky movie, and that's how I felt before watching it. That's why I avoided it for a long time.
