Seeing the reviews, I hope Boyhood sneaks in. I've only seen It's Impossible to Learn to Plow by Reading Books and Slacker, but I'm working my way up the Linklater filmography.

I did. Didn't agree. Although I rarely agree with Dowd.

No love at A.V. Club for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes?

I think that character wasn't that over the top. I almost understood his paranoia. I think he was intentionally like that to play with the audiences; (the whole time I expected that he would fuck shit up).

B-? Oh, it's Dowd reviewing. Rarely agree with his scores. I'd give it an A-.

Doesn't seem as good as 2013, but I think it's been a good year for film so far. A lot of really good movies seem to release late in the year, so I wouldn't judge the whole year yet.

Still don't get the absolute praise for The Lego Movie though.

Well, I've only seen 4. Of those I'd say:
1. The Grand Budapest Hotel 10/10 A
2. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 9/10 ~ A-
3. The Lego Movie 8/10 ~ B
4. 22 Jump Street 8/10 ~ B

Thanks. I'll try to forget that before I read the A Song of Ice and Fire series.

Where did he say he was leaving?

Things that are amazing are still amazing knowing a key plot point, but there's something to watching and not knowing what's coming next. And for that reason, I support not revealing huge spoilers.

Ozymandias lost? Well, I haven't seen either of these episodes, so I can't judge, but I'll get to watching those shows eventually.

"kinda"

I feel like maybe they judge finales by different standards. Higher standards.

Got better after 3. The first three episodes were a slow climb from meh to watchable…? 4 and beyond is good. Doesn't really increase or decrease 4 and beyond. Sometimes there are really good moment though.

It's kind of odd that boring is a weak criticism from viewers, but a serious criticism from tv critics.

That seems so over-the-top from previews. But del Toro seems to be a showrunner of it so… I'll give it a shot.

I hate these 'season' reviews that are only on like 1 to 6 episodes. If there wasn't this stupid race to get out reviews, maybe we could get actual reflections on entire seasons more often.

Not THAT bad.

Explanation of why certain 's' letters are changed?
