You know, I have to say it: at least those Russians know how to film in portrait mode. It makes you wonder just who really won the Cold War.

The mom's "Jesus" shirt is a nice touch. I bet she was saying a few prayers after the wreck.

Yeah, some Baptists and Evangelicals can get that glassy "I-really-want-to-convert-this-guy" fire in their eyes as they're shaking your hand. But most of them are just happy about being saved by Jesus and simply like to talk about their passion — like SciFi fans or organic food lovers. Eccentric but harmless.

What exactly is "this magic" that you are referring to?

Not a restaurant story, but.... I was riding my bike through the small Virginia city where I attended university. While I waited at a stop light a guy on the corner turned to me and asked, "Do you know Jesus?" Without missing a beat I replied, "Yeah, and the fucker owes me money. You see him, you tell me OK?" I

The laugh at 5 seconds says everything.

Now playing

Probably. I was making a cultural reference/joke to Star Wars.

Ackbar means "It's a trap!" in Arabic.

Alton Brown is a goddamn national treasure. (I choose to ignore the unfortunateness that was American Iron Chef)

"...you're very much trapped in a limited world view." Nah, man, you have it all wrong. I'm not saying it's wrong for you or anyone else to dress up in more feminine styles. I find it personally distasteful, but I'm not trying to tell anyone else not to do it. You, however, don't seem to have much restraint telling

You know what? I really like the Crest livery in #4.

The Mighty FC concept....

Yeah. I wonder if they knew what they were doing (and thus the intensity of the blast was intentional), or if they were just zealously packing the tunnel with C4 and their love for Allah and things just, well, kinda got out of hand.

In the quoted article it says, "Islamist rebels blew up a building..." I think it should have read, "Islamist rebels blew the fuck out of a building..."

My comment shall neatly sidestep the article's premise of living in the U.S. Having a house cleaner come to my home in Argentina twice a week costs me about $150/month. Yup, it's worth it.

Look, I meant "Have some self respect, brothers!" in jest. I don't think it deserved the vitriol that some people expressed, but I can understand that it rubbed people the wrong way. Point taken.

Not sure what you mean. I only point out that our reaction to a draconian, anti-gay law shouldn't be lessened simply because the aggressors are non-white. We don't try to "understand the motives" of some homophobic guy from Boston or the Bronx. Are you suggesting we should temper outrage against the Ugandan

I don't think embracing sexual/gender norms is entrapment at all. I don't feel even a little bit repressed or un-free if I don't want to wear women's clothing or otherwise alter how I express gender.
