I spent a lot of time with a 450slc and it does indeed drive like a frying pan and you’ll never enjoy it unless you put the top down and cruise somewhere with nice views and relatively straight roads. And every time you turn the key there will be a moment of dread as you wait for a new sound (or no sound) that will

Maybe he meant Canada?

If you fell right onto the spray, it might be at high enough pressure to cut through your clothing and really hurt your skin.  Not a great plan lol.

Good lord was that handled poorly. Where the FUCK was ski patrol to radio with the lift operators? Only one or a few chairs at most should have been pushed through the geyser. The stop/start operation just blasting more riders.... must have been absolutely horrific to await your turn, just knowing some 17 year stoner

He probably is. I will say, I do feel bad, because there’s no doubt he’s now kicking himself thinking “Dammit, I KNEW I should have bought a ’65 Valiant!”

Yeah but you still, STILL, cant get the highest power engines in a short cab, short bed, with actual sport truck suspension.  Look at the zero-60, this lightning is still faster.

Absolute rubbish. If you want it, you can make it work. I’ve raised two kids in 2+2's and Miatas. Though, yes, my spouse has an SUV.

The giant tablet haphazardly slapped onto the dash is the biggest intersection between "things manufacturers think look expensive" and "things a poor person would do to act rich" in recent memory.

Oh those are NICE! Do not want, but I do appreciate them.

I think the obvious answer is that people are paying too much for a fucking Kia.

Knock off the 10 grand and it would be a NP.

I always get suspicious when someone spends a lot of moola on fixes, upgrades and mods . . . and then puts it up for sale, expecting to be repaid for his “investments.”

Did you know you should never reuse cotter pins? Especially when it secures the castle nut that holds the brake drum, wheel, and tire on a Beetle rear axle?

Doooo eeeeet.

Cue all the people who will “Well actually...” this comment. The few exceptions do NOT change the fact that you are correct.

I live in Atlanta. Without AC, this time of year the entire vehicle would evaporate somewhere en route from NY (most likely in NC, somewhere in metro Torchinskyville).

Too much small niggling shit with this one to pass the sniff test. Whilst it is a very rare combo with the stick, it gives off the vibe of a European taxi and will not drive sportily even with the stick. I’m not sure how poorly you have to treat the vinyl to make it craze and crack that center armrest, but the stuff

Rob, thank God you’re back. Please don’t ever leave us again. The NPND is the highlight of my mornings and I think one of the best series on this site.

I will be off for the next two days and hence there will be no NPOND on Thursday or Friday.

Wait, are we still talking about cars?
