It’s nice to see the SEP law being applied with fairness and rigor. Yes, $800 qualifies as trivial cash when it comes to a vehicle that can (probably?) legally travel on public roads. If you want something like this car, you might as well get this car.

You should check out the prices on used Tacoma’s and 4Runners.

THIS is the car I’d buy and person I’d buy it from. One-owner, no boy-racer bullshit, all the service records and babied by the dealer (for the appropriate fees). Nice Price!

I think vanlife handbras-and-himalayan-flag hipsters get obsessed with owning a VW Westfalia and by extension it elevates the prices of the base vans.

I remember when they were new. They were moderately appealing... but not at the price VW was asking. I recall this costing almost double what a Dodge Grand Caravan cost.

Maybe replace “Windstar” with a second gen Odyssey. Haven’t seen a windstar on the road in years, but I still see a decent number of second gen Odysseys.

It looks shockingly well preserved, at least the outside. Inside might be a rats nest, but can’t be as bad as what David is dealing with right now. I’m not in California so the registration and smog thing doesn’t matter.

A reluctant no dice. Five years ago I bought one of these for $1000 sight unseen and drive it home from Wyoming in January. Similar condition, but the A/C worked and the heater didn’t. Would have traded the A/C for the heater on the drive home.

Yeah, that’s an Absolutely Not. Sure, the Mercedes-trained technicians don’t know what’s wrong, but I’m sure you’ll be fine!

Except for two things this is probably a NP. The interior wear is concerning for this car at the reported low miles. I question the 73K.

The kind of person who can afford to lose that $30k premium over sticker + depreciation in the next two years, is the kind of buyer who can also afford to go buy a better car, like a lightly used Huracan or an R8, or a 911 Turbo. I’m not saying that price delta between this and the other three cars is negligible. I’m

Again, I’m not sure where you guys live that there are rust free pick-ups for $7k.

The DB9 is not remotely in the same league as the Ferrari and Lambo. For 5k miles a year, it will still hurt the wallet, but maintenance and repairs on those is probably $.50/mi instead of $1 for something Italian. The Porsche will be less but it’s not like OEM rotors and pads will be a whole ton cheaper than a grand

Just the right age and miles to start the long, expensive march to the junkyard.

Sure. I can afford one of these, I absolutely love them, but I won’t buy one (or any other high performance anything). I have nowhere to enjoy it, so it would be like this dude - 400 miles in a year and a half, and huge stack of bills. All I would get to do is mostly look at it, and I can just look at pictures of them

$65k gets you a LOT of AM V8 Vantage. From what I’ve seen, the maintenance on those isn’t terrible.

I could afford to buy it, but I can’t afford to own it. I seriously am in the market in this price range, just going to get a 911. The cost of ownership on a 911 is miniscule compared to a Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Lamborghini. I really considered a DB9, but got talked out of that by my mechanic buddy who runs a high

Why not? If you see a Pagani for sale for $250k, it’s a screaming deal- even if you don’t have $250k to drop on a car.

Oh, a look.

Coke and Pepsi in the same fridge in a private home? Somebody is fancy!
