I loved this iteration of Mario Kart. I mean I think going back to it would be hard, but the double rider mechanic was great and added a really fun layer on top.

Something I’ve noticed about Mario Kart (and kart racers in general really) is that despite looking identical the gamefeel varies dramatically from each to the next. So if, say, MKDS was your preferred entry, then all the others just feel a bit off.
