You're doing it right. By the way, I also still miss my XJ.

Alternatively, sell the commuter and buy something fun and affordable. BTW, I was directed here from Jalopnik.
Carmax gave me a ridiculous, well-above-value offer on a car I had to jumpstart an hour before taking it to Carmax.
Bobs Bricks- we lay anything!
“Phil McCracken speaking...”
Well, I just finished off the last batch of vanilla ice cream I made, I guess it’s time to make some more!
Place by me was doing what they called a “Glacier”, a carbonated cider float with a dollop of house-made cinnamon soft serve.
I bought a sky redline in early 2019. Put a GM Performance tune in it. 290HP 340ftlbs. It’s a hoot. Affordable, and mostly a GM parts car so easy to repair.
Good on you. I keep threatening my wife that someday I’ll come home with a 3rd Gen MR2 or an old Z4 as my “Friday car.” Unfortunately, we moved and I need a third garage stall for winter storage.
I’ve never driven one, but my buddy that dailies a Solstice complains about how heavy and off-balance the rear is. Watch out for snap-oversteer.
Cool, thanks for the reply! I was just taking a quick peek online at both of them (it’s been awhile since I looked), and I dunno. The Solstice seems to have aged better. I leased a Saturn Aura at one point, and while it was good for what it was, I guess I just have a distaste for the logo. It was just such a shitty…
Having no car payment sounds like a perfectly responsible choice.
I’ve been making that choice for three vehicles in a row so far.
Good for you... continue onward and live your best life.
I’m curious as to why you like the Sky over the Solstice. Actually, genuinely curious. I’ve always liked the idea of both cars, but could never make up my mind which one I’d prefer.
Can’t wait to hear what you think of it. I’m in a similar boat and Skys, MR2s and SC430s have all been calling to me.
Good for you. Treat yo-self!
In that moment, Randall stopped owning a Ford Expedition. He picked up his keys, and began gathering the supplies needed to change his status among Apache Junction’s HOA: This is a case of Keystone, a hacksaw, and years of pent up frustration.
Husband and I are living in Australia. We had our ballots emailed them to us on 19 Sept, and Fedexed them back on 21 Sept. $80 well spent.
The Vette /Bus look like those fiberglass metalflake cars at a 70's kiddie park ..( Knobels still has them)...I like their take on the 3.0/ Barvaria Neu Klasse sedan though
