Why you hatin’ on the Shaggin Wagon?

Couch to 5k has been my go to forever. I tend to get up to 1/2 marathon distance and then just...stop. A few months later back on the C25K train :)

For moving up from 5k to 10k and 1/2 marathon distances I like the Hal Higdon training plans.   They work well for me.

That sucks, but were you able to use it as a learning opportunity?  When my wife ran over a nail I got to show the spawn how to use the emergency jack etc. in the rain this summer.  He was not amused, but he learned.

Neutral: Overall I’m ok, but wary? My daily medication seems to be losing it’s efficacy, so that’s worrying me. Especially since non-diabetics are using up the supply of things like Ozempic, which is probably my next stop on the medication train.

Neutral: We haven’t bought an EV or a hybrid because we don’t need a new car. A plug in hybrid is very likely in our future, but it will be at least 2 years before we make our next car purchase barring any unforeseen circumstances. Even then it will be because the spawn will be getting a hand me down once he has a

Ysh, guess I didn't address that cleanly.  34" pants here, 36" actual.

For reference: I’m 5'6" and 205lbs. I.e., literally obese. My waist size is 34 for Levi’s, so in reality about a 36. Even at my heaviest, around 260lbs I was up to a 40" waist.

Yeah, that circle coupled with all the PA drivers headed home is a freaking nightmare.   The one in Bridgewater is pretty bad too.

Growing up in the Northeast I always heard this as an Alaskan stop, since you slide right through.

Yup. Traffic is either moving at 5mph or 80. Never seen a cop there that was’t dealing with an accident, so no real incentive not to speed.

Can confirm, both directions. Cromwell Diner is my usual spot to stop for dinner near there too.

We have what is known around here as the ‘Intersection of Death’.

We have them in my hometown.  Easy to tell who isn’t from around here since they are the only ones who stop.

They have these in and around Boston, and I had literally no idea that’s what they meant.  Easier to you know, just watch for pedestrians in the crosswalk since they have the right of way.

I think most places allow a left on red if you’re on a one way turning on to another one way?

It looks like someone stepped on a roach, and of course the damned thing refused to die.

I’m at least vaguely familiar with most of the characters, but does Wonder Girl (?) normally look like she’s supposed to be a late teen Texan suburbanite cosplaying as a cowgirl?

I don’t think I’m making this up, but i’m 99% sure I saw it in the theaters in the very early 80's. I have memories of my mom being excited to see it since she had seen it as a little girl and remembered loving it.

It’s the shimmy she gives when noting the electrified door handles that really sells it.

Even if it were a stick I wouldn’t begin to consider it unless it was half the price.
