I was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley (Allentown), but I was living in North Dakota when the story broke. Even from following from afar it was apparent to me that the reaction by the fan base was disgusting at best. I’m not even sure what to call it, blind faith I guess, but my first reaction to hearing news like

I think the death penalty is completely appropriate to give now—not because of Joe or Sandusky—but because of the PSU fans.

Not until the school stops “honoring” him and the cult members stop with the “He was innocent” bullshit. Otherwise any mention of the school and/or football team brings that crap out again and again.

The captain of the 1966 team addressed the crowd and said he remembered vividly when Paterno said he was going to turn this program into a winner and, if some kids had to take a dick in the ass to achieve that goal, so be it.

They won't because apparently Temple isn't a bunch of fucking psychos.

Deep down I wished this fuckwad was able to live and go to try and then the real dirty secrets would come to life.

As a Penn state grad (class of 09), I just want to say fuck these people. I can’t even watch a PSU football game anymore because of the whole situation and it’s mostly because of the embarrassing apologists.
