They did it on Outlander, an episode of TV I never want to watch again. And the character who was raped was still dealing with the trauma didn’t immediately bounce back from it.

There’s really no comparison between what happens in the book and what happens in the show, and I don’t know why people continue to bring up “But it was worse in the books!” It’s literally an entirely different situation. And also, it doesn’t matter if it was worse in the books...we’re not talking about the books.
How exactly was the viewer supposed to identify with Sansa, when the entire time it happened, the camera was close up on Theon’s face? He’s the one the viewer was told to sympathize with.
“Relatability” = whiteness
Revising history is what white people do best.
You can get as pedantic as you like about his statement.
10 minutes later I realize I should have just said it was the White version of a Bougie.
How long do we live in the past?
I’m sure you also spend time criticizing people who “live in the past” by celebrating a 200-year old war fought over tea taxes?
Libertarians are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They’re fake progressives who refuse to acknowledge systemic oppression and they say bonkers shit like that all of the time.
We shall “live in the past” until the past is fully and completely separated from the present.
Thank you for clarifying that! I had no idea who Natalie Pasdar was and didn’t bother to click the link!
Damn. I cried a bit reading this. Reminded me of the shit I went through(still going through) with the person I still believe is the love of my life. Met him 20 yrs ago at work when I was 16, he was 26, began dating at 17/27.
Because a man cheating on his partner isn’t a referendum on her worth or strength. It’s a reflection of his own weak character.
Jay-Z’s got some nerve getting upset over someone disrespecting Beyoncé. He’s treated her like shit for years. I think Jay sees Beyoncé as a brand and not as a wife. He’s probably upset that Kanye hurt their brand more than anything else.
Natalie Pasdar has filed for divorce
I agree completely. It’s hard. Terribly hard...but if your body can’t keep you alive due to a terminal non curable or treatable disease, then you should not be alive.
I read elsewhere that the experimental procedure the parents want (which has not even been tested in mice) would have zero chance to improve his brain function even in the most miraculous of best-case scenarios. This is Terry Schiavo all over again. The brain matter is irreparably damaged, full stop.
I hate these stories. They’re impossibly difficult and cruelly unfair. But I’m still of the mind that if my child’s organs cannot function without a machine doing the work for them, this is not life.
