I took it mildly, but yeah, I don’t blame others for being even more angry at all the hypothetical cases of violence the announcers felt compelled to wonder about.

You think speaking a description of what is occurring in front of someone and repeating a cliche is analysis?

What analysis?

Anyone else get the sense that, while the announcers repeated over and over how peaceful things seemed to be, stressing in the moment, their constant reiterations of “it only takes one” indicated they wanted to watch it all go sideways?

Came to say the same basic thing.

It’ll help when O’Connor is apparently sacked 27 times...

That was the real problem with Parks and Rec’s first season. When I suggest it to people, I always suggest they start in Season 2 and give it a bit, because the awkward humor approach of Season 1 was just awful.

Ah ok. That makes perfect sense.

Clicking on the comment link at the bottom of a gawken.com article leads to a Medium.com-run login page. So I guess it’s Medium?

Thank you for the answer Burneko.

How does the commenter banning process work? Is the process at other GM (or formerly-GM) sites the same?

That would be Alcoholics Anonymous.

I agree that athletes like Rapinoe should be lauded for joining in solidarity, given that they have more to lose proportionally (as you’ve rightly pointed out). But I stand behind my comment about many who would want a specific invitation, for fear of inadvertently taking away attention. Rapinoe’s continued protest is

For others who are reading, him wearing that button was a big fucking deal and it fucked up his athletic career for life. It took 46 years to receive an apology from Australia for having been blacklisted, which came in 2012, six years after his death.

Look, instead of jumping down their throats for this, I’ll say instead, here is the invitation I imagine some white players likely felt they needed before joining in. The ones who would be interested in joining in are probably also worried about being perceived as co-opting the movement, or being yet another

A part of my point is that it doesn’t. That’s meant to be the bullshit wrong thing, that I thought might be said by the franchise in his defense.
