Its funny to watch this family of websites argue so forcefully for the goodness of sex work and at the same time be so disappointed that getting a $100 handjob hasn’t led to the downfall of  Bob Kraft.

What is astonishing about this for me is the lengths the police went to paint this as a human trafficking case without any evidence. I kept reading and waiting for the moment where they were able to justify this insane overreach on their part, but there was literally nothing there as the courts are finding out as well.

...except she’s getting paid while people are losing either valuable vacation time or valuable unpaid personal time.

The difference is that she is getting paid to be inconvenienced while everyone else paid for the pleasure.

If you don’t want to deal with annoyed customers, don’t take a job where your primary duty is dealing with customers in an industry where they are often annoyed.

No, this is like going to your job as a flight attendant, being delayed - as is common in your job, and dealing with people making shit jokes as part of your job. Because it’s your job.

The difference being she’s getting paid while the passengers are paying for the experience of not getting to their destination on time.

Why?  The only stupid thing here are the option years.  Everything else is actually a reasonable payment since how little he would have gotten paid.  He had 2 years (2019 and 2020) where he was not even going to break $1.2M total.  Instead he’s going to make about $10M.  He’s probably shorting himself a $5-10M total

Nobody in America wants prison to be about rehabilitation. This country wants prison to be about punishment - especially White America, even more especially White Conservative America, who have a huge bug up their collective asses about people getting “what they deserve.” Which almost always means that they deserve to

I don’t know, I feel like it should be a pretty non-controversial stance to say that in all cases, people who don’t want nude/sexually explicit videos of themselves made public should be allowed to make that choice.

I wrote this in I think Moskovitz’s first post about this, but while I get both the specific anti-Kraft antipathy and the indignation at the idea of a rich and powerful person trying to get advantages in the legal system that other people don’t … I continue to find it bizarre that the application of Florida’s sunshine

I have no interest in defending Kraft nor do I think he should have protection from the sunshine laws, but this does seem to be pretty heavy on shaming Johns and very little to do with trafficking.

A Grand Jury does whatever the prosecutor wants. If the prosecutor wants to indict, he or she puts on a one sided case that results in an indictment. If the prosecutor wants to let someone go, he or she puts on a one sided case that allows grand jurors to rule against an indictment, giving a false veneer of justice

Maybe we shouldn’t elect a prosecutor.

I think maybe it’s her fault for seeking such a position.

Excellent response to a ridiculous take

I’m not sure when we arrived to this era of “who can apologize the fastest” but this hyper vigilant analysis of the Tom Izzo moment is so confusing and completely unnecessary. It was a heated explosive moment. I’m sure Izzo knows he lost control, but saying that he lost control to the press undermines the relationship

Because that’s not how you win elections. Being the most principled loser doesn’t help you forward any political positions.   It does help you get a bunch of young urban coastal voters, and if they weren’t functionally disenfranchised by virtue of not living in one of the handful of places where votes count, that

Like, we can’t even pass a goddamn federal tax increase, and they are talking about tuition-free college and single payer healthcare as if it’s something a president could wave a magic wand at and get the day after the election.  I’m so tired of this shit.

This site really is incredible. I don’t care much about Beto, but the guy was doing a kick-off event for college students a year before the first primary, and you guys are dragging him for not reciting a full policy white paper during what seems like an open Q&A.

So let’s someone who is an admitted “hater” of said Candidate do an article criticizing and critiquing him and try to appear to be “impartial and unbiased”
