Ummm, the Data East lawsuit. Capcom did and the cooling effect was massive.

I think it’s more the fact that they’re being specific about it. Honestly they could have left this alone, but after 2 years of the media completely and totally fermenting the rumor of the “Switch Pro” they have little choice but to kill this now.

You know from what I’ve seen of this thing game I can understand that. It would seem that Capcom is trying to build that eases people into the things that make monster hunter the franchise it is, and clearly targeting a younger demographic to do it.

Actually that was the twisted thing several companies were betting on this fact, then WallStreetBets happened inflating the price to such a degree that it pretty much looking like the scam of a pump and dump.

Nintendo avoids TGS like the plague, there has been a long-standing beef between Nintendo Co. and whoever organizes TGS.

So there’s a bit of a story behind that, apparently Sony was debating the launch price till about 15 minutes before the show. Then the word came out in the company that it was $299, after being utterly convinced that the price was going to end up $399. Steve Race did write out an entire speech based off this

The thing is that Tokido has done this before, the whole measuring tape meme while he was at Echo Fox was entire exercise in merchandising.

I will be honest when it comes to this “Switch Pro”... I wouldn’t put a whole lot of stock into the rumors given how many times it’s been “on the horizon”, only to not really appear.

Well you know... Times, they are a’changin’.

Oh lawd, I get that reference.

The Canada story is a little more nuance. Bell fucked up for years prior to the 90's. They were clearly abusing their dominate position on the market... for phones. One of the things that happened was the company was split into regional players (Bell mostly stayed in Ontario and Quebec, but Telus was formed out of

Still not Gundam cosplay.

The online isn’t about to change by much, any assumption that they will just pull out the netcode and push in something else is rather naive at this point. Few companies have ever done it, the process is rather involved if they attempt to try and honestly, Rollback has it’s own issues.

The roster will likely change

The Kells is the kind of player that tends to “ride or die” in any given situation... He will bet it all if it comes down to the wire and has done it before.

True, Youtube is anything but nice, that said they have been dealing with it longer. For much longer. I would assume that YouTube has better controls for that. Problem being that the sheer volume that YouTube deals with simply allows this miasma of discontent to floor the channels often.

It’s likely why you see alot of

The ghosting is pretty well known to me, everything else is new.

That was after a Star Wars Twitter mob tried to shame John Boyega for... get this... daring to be a black man in the new Trilogy, whom happens to be one of the leads.

He rather elegantly told them to STFU.

And mastodon and Diaspora keep on trucking along... Hmmm.

Honesty, the damage had been done and it is so extensive that X-Men characters will not fix it.

I will have to agree with you on that one despite the fact that SC has explored this concept before in SC2's Necrid
