The current progressive wing in Congress may only be ‘five people’ but there are a lot more Democratic voters than that. AOC knows she’s one of the most visible figures in politics and has a huge social media following. If she keeps pushing her messaging and can get voters to move further to the left, what do you

But at the end of the day it’s a low skill job that really only requires patience, discipline, and general people skills.  All things that could be learned in a restaurant or retail setting, which likely offer less pay than Amazon.

If you’re flocking to the city for a minimum wage job then that’s a bigger issue.

Pelosi doesn’t see AOC as an ally in the traditional sense. She sees her as someone trying to lead a progressive mutiny. As Speaker, her job is protect her members and most importantly, the majority in the House, which is made up of more moderates than progressives.

This part confused me. Some scientists are saying that legislation to to tighten exemption requirements may not be helpful. So the GOP and the scientists are somewhat in agreement?

I’d say it has an effect. Caps went on the PP shortly after the fight, but the best PP scorer in the world was in the box for a fighting major.  There’s strategy behind baiting a good player into a fight to take him off the ice for 5 minutes.

There are no Caps fans with weak hearts anymore.  I’m pretty sure the Boudreau era and the first three years of Trotzy killed them all.

The old Caps would’ve blown the lead and ceded home ice.  This was....encouraging?

And how did that work out for them? Not saying that Saquon wasn’t the focal point of the offense because he was, but how much of that was because Eli couldn’t complete a dropback without getting hit, and even when he could, he couldn’t throw it deep anymore.  The Giants might’ve been better served letting OBJ throw it

Skins brought in Keenum to compete for the backup spot so they don’t have to trot out Josh Johnson or Mark fucking Sanchez again.  No one expects him to be the starter.

You do know that Chick-Fil-A also donates to a lot of charities and community efforts, right?

Not sure if you’ve been to DC recently, but MAGA hats can be found on every street corner in a variety of colors.  They’re basically DC’s version of the “I <3 NY” shirts.  I’ve lost count of how many buses of students I’ve seen all wearing their DC souvenir.

I don’t event think it’s the rich that are driving it. Pelosi has been around the block enough to know how this game is played. She’ll want to send a message and make AOC earn her stripes.

Pelosi will snuff out AOC’s flame as soon as she senses dissent. Nancy still wants a bipartisan effort on some level and I doubt she’ll tolerate AOC’s ideals for long.

The fight wasn’t out of nowhere.  Apparently, earlier in the shift Oleksiak makes a hit and then gives Wilson the “let’s go” look.

I respect most of your nuanced take, but to say Ovechkin hasn’t molded his game for team success is wrong.  He’s changed his game with every coaching regime and has done what was asked of him.  Caps fan saw this since the Dale Hunter days, but it seems like the national media finally picked up on it during the cup run

Most of the internships are during the summer and the one’s during the school year count towards credits.  There are specific programs for DC internships like this.

Because you can replace Hunt with Spencer Ware who is serviceable.  There’s no replacement for Hill.

Yet they still employ Tyreek Hill who choked and punched and his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach. Running backs (as good as they may be) are more easily replaced than star wide receivers.

Players with Bell’s talent can still be very productive up to age 30.  A 3-4 contract at top dollar is still realistic.  If it was strictly based on age then rookie running backs would be supplanting established starters everywhere and Hunt isn’t on the same level as Bell.
