I am definitely a drinker, but I always order non-alcoholic drinks. One of my favorites is the Fever Tree ginger beer and a little bit of bitters.

I mean, you’re technically an adult at that point, but I don’t know of anyone I know who would be/ would have been ready to be married at 20 (including me). You’re just... not ready yet.

It seems that there are two types of people. People that think everyone should be able to have fun and drink or not drink at their own leisure, and people who are party poopers (except you 12 step lady!).

There it is! The one exception to this rule.

I genuinely do not understand dry weddings. If you are a dry family, or have dry guests coming, provide a mocktail so it isn’t weird for everyone else. There will never be a wedding (except maybe extreme ones) where NO ONE drinks. I’m definitely including weddings where it isn’t typical in the culture to drink.

Low key my feelings about this.

What kind of place must you be in your life to not make this kind of connection? Is there some sort of clinical term for this total lack of ability to reflect upon one’s self? Truly amazing.

They both look so delicious! What is that savory dish called?

I was aware that towns like this existed, but I had no idea there were formal descriptors for it. The term “sundown town” was completely new to me today. Thanks for the info everyone!

You’re right, I haven’t ever seen this! It looks delicious though, and I love hominy.

Parks & Rec was a good but not perfect show (none are).

Agreed. I wouldn’t call him a huge star, even though I am a big fan.

By $1500 they actually meant your life savings. First class costs you your firstborn child. I can see how that was easily mixed up.

Saaaaame girl. I was *this close* to booking one for my honeymoon, but the fact that there’s an entire maproom just to look at maps full of retirees held me back.

I feel like some of these people did not finish the book.

I’m sure it did for me too! I grew up on SS, MR, Lamb Chop, Captain Planet, Billy Nye, etc etc etc. They all preached kindness, tolerance, and respect for where you come from from your neighborhood to your planet. How kids missed these important messages is beyond me.

Which sucks, but if it keeps SS running and airing on PBS, I’m OK with it. There’s been enough cutbacks on PBS.

I will stan those candy pumpkins until I die. Especially the sour jelly variety.
