Well built, reliable, cars at affordable prices. They know, they just don’t like it. That is why they keep throwing in all those baubles and toys to try and distract us.

Are you trying to be a dickhead, or do you honestly not realize what raging asshole things you’re saying here?
the fiat 500 ev should be coming to the states next year and the Mini EV is also a thing. “small cars” in the usa is slim pickings narrowing them down to EVs really limits your options. I love small cars myself and am frustrated by all of the cool small cars available in europe and Asia! I would have her test drive…
A timeless turd...
Ya. We’re talking about feeling bad for religious and other theocrats and Fascists. Having sympathy for those people, beyond offering the opportunity for them to reform themselves as early as possible, is not a sign of personal virtue or character. We’re talking about out-and-proud nihilistic cynicism and sociopathic/p…
The other side isn’t civilized to begin with, unless you think taking human rights and someone’s bodily autonomy away from them is civilized?
Sure Jan, sure. Bothsides my left nut. Either you stand with the fascists or you don’t.
Your optimism is adorable. From where I’m sitting, he and his ilk gamed the courts and stole my right to self-determination, then passed laws to render me a second class citizen and place bounties on me for seeking medical care. If you think that sort of person can be reasoned with, or that action is civilized, well,…
This is a sad and terrible loss. I, for one, will in my heart forever carry the spirit of that Cessna.
All great points. I’m actually listening to Thinking Fast and Slow on audio book right now - fantastic.
Worth noting that there is no such thing as a “Nazi sympathizer.” If you have 9 Nazis sitting at a table and one “Nazi sympathizer,” you have 10 Nazis.
I was worried so I put fuel stabilizer in my tank. I’ve used 19% of the tank in the last 1000 or so miles. I was worried before I did that though, so I forcibly used up my last tank of gas after 3 months and filled it with fresh fuel to add stabilizer to.
There’s a weird Fantasy book called “the Philosophical Strangler”. It’s funny as hell. The title assassin goes around helping people “achieve ultimate entropy” or “aligning their destinies with life’s ultimate arrow” or the like.
Yup. I’m astonished that the vehicle was making 360s before they terminated it. Sure, they collected a lot of iuseful data, but I sort of think NASA would have blown it after maybe 30 degrees of yaw. That thing was unrecoverable and they knew it.
Fair enough, and as an engineer I TRULY appreciate that. On the other hand, Musk has a habit of complaining that the “bureaucratic” FAA and other agencies have no business at all holding him back. Well, if you’re experiencing catastrophic failure as often as SpaceX does (and, again, I get it) then you’ve lost command…
We used it as a around town shop truck when I wrenched on bikes. Loading a Gold Wing made it sway like a waterbed. That low load floor though, was sweet.
Not sedans but Grumman, the original developer of the Gulfstream, was a rather prolific producer of land vehicles, too.
I have a 2016 CX-5 in Soul Red. Its lived outside for most of its 7.5yrs (late ‘15 build date) with no issues to the paint except for a few small chips to the paint from highway driving which I would consider normal wear and tear for a car that old. The paint is still gorgeous and looks amazing after a fresh wash and…
I hope this doesn’t make you feel old, but Soul Red came out over 10 years ago. It’s still striking.
Soul Red is a gorgeous color. If Mazda paint will still crack by looking at it, I would wrap the whole car in PPF. Close to the Soul Red is a similar shade I saw recently on a 2022/2023 Lexus IS.
