Sure, but it was exacerbated by other things. Any time you create a situation where you have to replace every person doing a given job with people who have no training for that job, this happens.

Yep. And I know it’s early, but from listening to the ATC recordings it really does sound like the helicopter fucked up and failed to pass behind the plane as instructed by ATC. I didn’t catch any error by ATC, especially since at that location they’re probably under fairly intense pressure not to stop military

Found the dumbass.

Not sure if this is sarcastic but, it would just hover.

Not really. By that logic the Bugatti Chiron is a supersonic car because it tops out above 300mph, and the speed of sound in tungsten hexafluoride gas is 290mph.

And I’m here for it. You know the C-suites of the car companies voted for Trump. And, let’s be real, most of the blue collar workers did too.

So in other words it will break shit even worse which means it will do exactly what they intend for it to do.

Yeah, that’s why I said “maybe.” Honestly I didn’t feel like doing the fact checking in a rebuttal of a post with such a dumb premise to begin with.

This is a really dumb take.

Yeah, like I told Liffie420, I had to be outside in the bitter cold a lot. I’ll happily sweat 50 gallons a day if it means I don’t have to be so cold that it takes hours to feel warm after you go inside.

If cold were like Colorado I could take it. Lived in the southern Rockies for awhile too. It was great. You could ski in a winter vest, not even bothering with coat sleeves.

Yeah, that’s the prize-winning question.

Eh. Minnesota here, but I’ve lived all over. We get to 100+. Not nearly as often as you guys do, but we do get there. What sucks is that we also get to -30, real temp, and sometimes lower. I remember when I moved here the first time decades ago, waiting for the school bus with a windchill of -50.

Your first sentence is true, until it isn’t. Big sky theory reigns most of the time, but that’s not very comforting to the two pilots whose jets are heading opposite-direction to the same point in the sky. At 1,000+mph closing speeds, things happen real damn quick.

Planes do, actually. It’s called TCAS, or Traffic alert and Collision Avoidance System. It’s a system that detects conflicts with other traffic and tells the pilot what to do (descend or climb). Airbuses built after 2017 have this integrated with the autopilot, and the plane will avoid the collision by itself.

To be fair, I think if I try to blow up a hotel and someone has information on me, they should turn it over to the cops.

No, but your phone is sending that data to your carrier, which will also provide it to law enforcement upon request. If you’re lucky, they’ll insist on a warrant before they give it up but many companies will hand over whatever they have if the cop just asks.

I’ve got a Lexus 350 v6, which is pretty much the same motor as the Camry V6. I actually find it annoying how easy it is to break the tires loose, even with brand new tires.

Maybe, except we don’t agree at all.

I mean, the uncle’s claims are suspect. Being a patriotic American and supporting MAGA/Trump are mutually exclusive states.
