All the best exhaust noises come on the overrun. Yeah revving out to a million sounds cool but I really really love cracks, pops and rapid downshifts.

Puked in my mouth. Can’t unsee..

I’m sure I must matter a little bit! If I din’t come home my wife and kids would notice after a couple of days... I hope.

Speakers = fakery, non-mechanical noises. Tuning an exhaust = marketing but not evil. Fun noise coming out of actual pipe used to move exhaust gases are fun.

Pretty sure patrol cops don’t maintain their cruisers and that there is a department or another for that stuff. So going back to the cop and pointing at his sad, unlit light is not the exact moral equivalent of a car owner who has obviously kept booting around in his one-eyed beater ‘cause lazy.

I disagree. Car sounds are a very important part of car-ing for me and I love overrun cracks and pops. I don’t care if it’s just the computer dumping some fuel to get there, it still makes me giggle. All exhausts are “tuned” in some capacity or another for sound/less sound/tone etc. Juicing up the overrun is no

Sadly yes. That was certainly the most interesting food I’ve found in one of our cars. Not the grossest tho. :(

Boy: Taurus, Ram, Ion, Morris...

I cleaned out my pickup not long ago and found a fucking desiccated tuna sushi roll under one of the rear seats. Perfectly preserved. It was kept company by a school of fishy crackers and too many other food stuffs to list here.

They don’t make these anymore. And when that Google driverless pod seems like the future, these start looking better and better and rarer and rarer.

I concur. Here are some examples of proper exhaust tip etiquette:

I’ve been a amature hoon my whole life (read juvenile knucklehead), I live in a climate where we get lots of snow so low friction driving is old hat but to my brain, feeble as it is, this sort of thing seems to utterly defy physics. I’m serious, it doesn’t look possible or real give what my instincts tell me about

I guess, but I’m also a guy who thinks a base C7 looks pretty special. Pretty striking car IMO.

That doesn’t look special? I saw a blue C7 Z06 the other day and they are crazy looking, in the very best way. And sound! Don’t get me started.

My parents had a new Volare wagon when I was a very little kid. I have one memory of it from when I was about 5; sitting in the front passenger seat holding the door closed. Why? Because it wouldn’t stay closed otherwise. I also remember my mom telling me to put my seat belt on so I wouldn’t fall out. This may be why

Driving things with motors made me love cars. I’ll cut your friggin grass if you have a ride on mower. I may not do a good job though.
