For some people their pets are their children. I wouldn’t randomly touch some stranger’s kid, let alone reach into said stranger’s car to touch said stranger’s kid. Let alone get all fucking indignant when a cop says “Yo, don’t reach into the cars of stranger’s to touch their kids”

See? This is exactly when white folks don’t appreciate the depth of their privilege. I mean ... I can understand her disillusionment at being arrested for petting a dog that wasn’t hers, which I’m pretty sure she didn’t realize still falls under Statute 416: Don’t touch my hair.

I can’t laugh at this.

I think there’s a real point here. A lot of you were really hypercritical about the NFL’s terrible record with hiring black coaches and executives but did we ever consider they were doing it to protect those coaches’ feelings?

He was not proven innocent. Case was dismissed. There’s a big difference.

Ah, my line of work enters the Kinja-sphere. As a white guy with fancy, schmancy degrees I can tell you this is a prime example of why we have problems in higher education. Our executive ranks are littered with individuals who have no idea how to navigate a world that does not conform to their personal definition of

Eh there are countless people on every college campus who work tirelessly to promote and protect the welfare of the students who make up their respective campus community.

How dare this writer make fun of stereotypical white jock names when writing an article about a fight between two guys named, uh, *re-watches video* Brock and Colby.

its funny cause its true. Lacrosse was something new to me when i moved from LA to upstate NY in the 80s to finish high school. It took literally one day of being in school before a lacrosse bro checked me into a wall of lockers as i was just walking down the hall trying to find class.

You’ve used the term “reverse racism” without irony many times, haven’t you?

I’m surprised they didn’t just send their chauffeurs and valets in to scuffle.

Jesus Christ, that looks like the list of speakers at the RNC

Hey, if it worked for Zack Morris, it’s good enough for me.

I’ll give the benefit of the doubt to the guy who’s having one of the strongest starts for a position player in baseball and who just destroyed the Rockies all weekend long.

He also appears to be signaling to either the pitcher or catcher that he’s ready and back in his spot before every pitch gets thrown, so I don’t really think he’s ever “scrambling to get back as each was being delivered”. He’s very clearly back in his position and ready each time before the pitcher delivers the pitch.

What’s your problem with Baez?

Oh man, I think it would be 10 times better if it was against the Cards.

Not to mention: If sign stealing is part of the game, so is preventing your signs from being stolen. “Get better signs”? Or get your shortstop to run interference so you don’t see the signs. What’s the difference?

Right? “It’s part of the game, get better signs”... but asking a player to move out from behind a fielder is just too much!

Yeah, stealing signs is part of the game and they should get better signs, but using gamesmanship to prevent it way out of bounds apparently
