Interesting, I didn’t know that. Thanks!

Idk if the motor will get a displacement bump over the LT1 but I think they will delete AFM and go with lighter internals to make it rev quicker/higher.

I’ve been wanting to add MOAR power to my 9-3 for a while now but I’m scared of breaking any of the “XWD” components. I can only imagine what it’d cost to replace the eLSD.

The speed restriction was just recently lifted. They haven’t been back at the Ring since they finished developmental testing on it.

More aero, CC brakes, bigger tires, and a slight weight loss (mostly unsprung). On the N-ring I would expect the ZL1 to be quicker but on shorter tracks the Z/28 will probably be a little quicker. Like the last gen the Z/28 will be capable of higher cornering speeds while losing straight line acceleration to the ZL1.

I agree. The LT1 actually has fatter power and torque curves than the LS7 even if the peak numbers are a bit lower.

A UAW-Trump alliance would actually make a lot of sense. Both are anti-NAFTA, TTP, globalization and prefer protectionist trade policy.

Not exactly, just solid engineering principles. COG is just one of the myriad of reasons I prefer OHV to OHC. It has far ranging implications when it comes to vehicle dynamics.

They would love to sell direct. Problem is they have established dealerships with more political clout then they do. If they tried to pull a similar move they would destroy their current relationships and only make things worse for themselves. Better off preventing Tesla from gaining a competitive edge.

Uhh never mentioned anything about C7's so I have no idea what you are referring to there...

Power, torque, and weight to start. Not that the EB’s I've driven have much lag but the top mounted intercooler on the LF4 makes it almost non existent.

I agree with everything you wrote besides “The GS was a better track car than the Z06 even last generation.” Maybe in terms of price but the aluminum frame in the C6 Z’s was worth the price of admission. My 11' Z06 Carbon (basically a ZR1 with a LS7) is way faster around Gingerman than any of the GS’s I’ve seen out

My 11' Z06 Carbon has the LS7 and its up there for my favorite engines of all time, but believe it or not the LT1 has fatter torque and power curves in comparison even if the peak numbers are a bit lower. IMO the LS7 is only superior in terms of weight, revs, and sound.

Let me introduce you to the mill currently powering my Caddy:

Every one of your posts in this thread was stupid.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

Wow. Here I am thinking you were just some guy with a knack for finding obscure photos but I just spent a few hours going through your posts and your analysis is fantastic! Keep up the good work man, with Tyler gone you're probably one of the most knowledgeable guys around these parts.

The V has 640hp IRL and weighs 500lbs less than the RWD Model S and 700lbs less than the AWD model. Still wasn’t enough to make up for the instant torque of electric motors. The Ford will likely be traction challenged as well so if it’s my money I’m still betting on the P90D. BTW Challenger Hellcat with the 8 speed

Looks like a Chinese knockoff of an ATS-V.

Another person in the thread identified the guy as an anthropology professor at U of H so I'm not sure Mr Racecar is wrong here...
