Hi! As a '11 Z06 Carbon owner I can attest to the performance advantages of CCM brakes from a fade resistance standpoint, but more important in my opinion is their weight advantage over steels in reducing unsprung weight. Can you see Corvette going to a carbon fiber wheel setup like the Mustang 350R to further reduce

The first line of your post is false, graphene and carbyne are both stronger and 3D printing allows them to be made into structural components. If you're going by materials in widespread use and mass production then yes, its CF but the "known to man" part makes it false. Materials science classes were my favorite part

I would have to guess compliment it. I would think a "base model" of the mid engine one would be a lot more expensive than the C7 and that's always been the Corvettes thing, cheap performance. Plus it might piss off a lot of the smaller minded Corvette buyers who think a mid engine setup is sacrilege. Let them have

Common misconception. It's actually owned by a Chinese company now, BWI.

Nope. Closer to 40/60. Corvettes have been 50/50 for the last 3 generations and that's why they have to move to a mid engine set up for the next one. They need to get more weight (traction) to the rear and the front-mid engine setup they currently have won't cut it when they up the power.

Karma's a bitch isn't it

I love proving idiots wrong on the internet, to each their own. For what its worth I drive a Saab... Also did a bit of research and found out the 2.8L Cummins I4 uses... A TIMING BELT hahahahahaha. I sincerely hope you enjoy your Sunday sir.

Did you even read the article? Cleary says, in English, that it was testing outside Milford, MI and using the Amarok for comparisons. GM doesn't and likely won't sell a pickup in Europe. Also the trucks pictured are the U.S. spec Colorado which are much bigger than the global version and have different design

Ditto on the Colorado, all the way back in April... http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2014/04/spied-… And you're correct, the Titan is a full size. Which makes your original comment look all the more stupid. GM isn't copying anyone because it will be the first in the midsize diesel segment while Nissan is copying the Ram

5 is a long way down? Are you serious? I guess by your logic Nissan is irrevalent in the U.S. market as well seeing as it's the #5 brand here. There were 920,000 Buicks sold in China last year. I've been to China once in my life, in Shanghai, saw tons of Buicks.

I like everything about this car other than the number it elicits from a scale. 3,800lbs for the Opel version with the same engine and I expect the U.S. version to be slightly portlier. Going against the trend of lighter cars coming from the General, kind of a shame.

This is an incredibly stupid comment considering its the #5 selling brand in China, the world's largest auto market by sales. In the U.S., the world's second largest auto market, it sells more cars than Audi, Acura, Cadillac, Infiniti, Lincoln, Volvo, and 12 other brands.

Wow, I thought we had already sold/donated all of the Perry's. As always great article Tyler!

Well I guess by your logic I should be equally or more surprised when the Cummins Titan happens. Given that both exist only in press releases here in the U.S. and the Dmax is the only one actually in production anywhere. Also I'd much rather look like an "asshat" for using words with more than 2 syllables than

I don't know, I think it gave my cars a fair result (71-80% for the Saab, 6-10% for the Vette). I think rarity and the bankruptcy helped the 9-3, the Z06 was hurt by being too new and powerful I'm guessing.

The sound it makes as he pulls off the road is the best part. Hes like "oops nothing to see here" and the trucks scrapping metal shrieks in agony.

I saw the whole incident. She made a really wide turn from the left edge of the right lane without a blinker, was nearly perpendicular with the road and exposed the right rear tire to the Lambo, he didn't slow down, and pushed her past the entrance to the restaurant. All involved were Asian and I think the blame was

The driver of the jeep was an Asian female... She was turning right into the restaurant and he didn't slow down and hit her. Nice try though

Welp, the lifting of the fireworks ban was fun while it lasted... Back to Indiana to fill my snowmobile trailer I guess.
