General anesthesia, thank god. I was already hyperventilating by the time they were trying to get the IV in - I’d hate to think the condition I would have been in if I hadn’t taken a double dose of my lexapro the night before! That part sucked but before I knew it I was awake again and I’ve been good ever since,

I am drinking protein shakes because I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday! I’m actually really happy about it because one of them had been infected for about 10 days and hurt like hell, so I’m actually in significantly less pain now than I was a week ago. Now I’m just mildly annoyed at the sutures in my mouth and I

I’ve been using the microwave because I’m eating them before work in the morning.

I made these (this recipe, from the kitchn) and they are very good but I haven’t really figured out how to keep them from getting soggy when reheating them. Every time I eat one I use 4-5 paper towels just sopping up the liquid that squeezes out. Help!

oooh I like this idea. Thanks!

Thanks!

Thanks! I never wear heels, so I was a bit worried about buying them, but they are surprisingly comfortable.

I don’t know what I’m going to do this summer - leggings + sweater became my uniform this year and it’s sooo comfy!

I bought a bunch of clothing for my new job. Easy Spirit had some good sales on shoes, so I got 2 pairs of boots (these and these) and 2 pairs of flats. I also got some amazing leggings and a bunch of sweaters from Nordstrom Rack.

No advice. Just a big hug and a ‘good luck’. :(

I have my traditional glass of ice water next to me (wahoo!). Congrats on the paper! I finished my first week at my new job. I think I’m really going to like it there! So all in all, it’s been a good week.

I’m totally digging Kimmy Gibbler (are not words I ever thought I’d say, but there you go). I’m mostly impressed with the three main women’s acting. They were hired for this show as kids so I can’t imagine what it’s like to step into the roles again 20 years later.

Wow! Congratulations!!! I remember frantically checking my mailbox every day for about a month during senior year of high school. Good luck!

ooh eggplant and chicken parm sounds amazing. I’m still searching for a good eggplant parm recipe. I don’t do it all at once - I spread it throughout the day. I did the breakfast sandwiches after I ate breakfast, then made the soup around 2pm, so I had a good break in the middle to run errands and laze around watching

Ugh, it’s the worst. I’m finally on the other side *yay* and you will be, too!!! Sending good thoughts your way!

I didn’t realize it could be that affordable. I’ll definitely put that on my list of things I want to do when I visit NYC (I’m not planning a specific trip, but I like to keep a spreadsheet so when I do go I have some ideas).

I’ll copy & paste my reply to TragicallyHeterosexual:

I would recommend easing into it. Today I made 3 weeks worth of breakfast sandwiches (bagels w/ cheese & egg, spinach & ham) and froze them. I also made stew for dinner on Monday. Tomorrow I’m making cherry & chocolate granola muffins to freeze and eat at work, and then I’m making spinach & orzo soup for Wednesday’s

That’s definitely something to look forward to!

This is genius! (yes, autocorrect really really hates it, so I think we should keep typing ‘adulting’ just to spite it.)
