Oh, yes. It is excellent.

I totally agree about Annie. Mindy Park was given the short shrift as well. I think some of that was just time, but Annie especially was such an entertaining character so I wish we had really gotten to see her.

That makes total sense! I’ll have to try watching it with someone. Also, I watched on my laptop while I was doing something else in another window, so I didn’t have my full attention. I’ll give it another shot!

She is excellent.

My favorite Thanksgiving food is green bean casserole (I know, I know.. I try not to think about the obscene amounts of sodium and what’s in cream of mushroom soup but I just don’t care because it’s so goddamn delicious) and my grandmother’s stuffing recipe which is mashed potatoes, crushed saltine crackers, onion,

Did you like Sense8? I’ve tried the first episode twice now and I just can’t get into it. Maybe I’m not paying close enough attention?

Yeah, I understand why the cut it (time and all that), but it was such a good plot point because it upped the ante that much more! I feel like some of that anxiety was lost. Yeah, the love of science and ingenuity was lost as well. :(

They are so hot together (and believable: I actually buy into their relationship)! I’m going to be so sad when I finish the season.

Worth it.

YES! I’m so excited!

DO IT! It’s the perfect Saturday Night TV. Jessica Jones + SNS + Gin = one happy iseedeaddaleks!

find this is particularly the case with first person narratives, like The Hunger Games, The Martian, and To Kill a Mockingbird. When you lose the internal monologue, you lose the point.

I posted this down thread earlier but it hasn’t been ungreyed!:

Who else has watched “Jessica Jones” on Netflix? I just started it this evening and I LOVE IT!!! So many strong, intelligent women who aren’t stereotypes. The music is excellent as well.

Interesting idea, but if you do that you still have the issue of salmonella-y turkey juice soaking into the stuffing, which means the stuffing still needs to reach 165. You still end up with an over-cooked bird.

I’m an atheist raised by atheist parents and I spent kindergarten through high school in Catholic schools because they were the best education where we lived. It’s not uncommon. Most Catholic schools don’t even have nuns teaching anymore and if there are priests around they are often in administrative positions.

I completely agree. The risks of not being in a hospital are just too high. Most hospitals these days will let you have a midwife with you in the hospital and that seems like the best of both worlds to me.

Yep. Or go to the LL Bean Outlet in Freeport. I was there last week and they have shelves full of bean boots in every size.

I haven’t even been able to make that effort. It’s all just sliding past me.

I’ll bring brownies.
