I noticed that a while ago. I'm solidly middle class, and I think and out of my girlfriends maybe 20% have a good or decent relationship with their father. I
I have the same problem. How do you tell other people that the relationship with your father is non-existant. I've tried telling people a few times, but everyone always wants to know what my dad did to me. He didn't do anything, he just never cared. I'm finding it insanely difficult to explain my situation and so far…
Luckily, my parents didn't pull these kinds of shenanigans, which probably made all the difference.
Mine did the same. But for me it was absolute relief. They had been fighting so much, I hated going home. They've been much happier ever since and my only regret is that they did not get divorced earlier.
I like the quote, but Lena Dunhams handwriting is seriously ugly.

Don't feed the troll!!! Pleasepleasepleaseplease!
You are not alone:
I love how he points to the left (from his perspective) when he tells her about his ancestors and in the next shot she is looking to the right.
miffyatthemuseum figured it out. It was a twitter posted on i09.
Ah yes, found it. I don't really go to i09, but it must have been a link from jezebel.
Ok, this comment he mentioned: "now you know why your nerdy friends were depressed 13 years ago", I think I have read it somewhere a couple of days ago.
I sooo want to post a picture of the current state of my legs, but I'm afraid I'll get banned from jezebel if I do.
I would really like to read a statement from Jim Norton about this.
A few years ago I was in the hospital for three days with an infection. I didn't tell my mom at the time, because I didn't want to deal with her freakout. I still haven't told her in fact, because, now, what's the point in her getting a panic attack after the fact.
details, shmetails!
Dude, Cones for College is so much better than College Creamery.
Your story made me hold my breath like an episode of Game of Thrones.
