I think Danny doesn't want any money from the family, he refuses to take anything given to him. The checks. His dad's payoff. Even the money his buddy took from Kevin. Maybe that's his way of having something on the family. I can't help but wonder if there's a positive twist in all of this, like Danny is sending money…
