This seems like it’s a response to a particular brand of conservative who complains about, “Saggy Pants Thugs”.

Someone documented that several years ago. A study was sone just after Paramount took it over showing that a disproportionate amount of the arrests shown were of PoC even though that was not what they actually filmed.

COPS was insanely popular during its heyday.  Everyone over 35 has seen at least one episode.

To be fair, I don’t know a single person who watches those NCIS shows but they are allegedly some of the most watched shows around and keep spawning new spin-offs. Isn’t LL Cool J in one of them now, or was that a CSI? I get my shitty CBS procedurals mixed up all the time.

I’m watching everybody and their moms saying that they didn’t watch COPS. That shit didn’t stay around for 33 years for the hell of it. 

My favorite is the social media outcry of them being stopped by police for not having a mask on and complaining about the audacity the police have to stop someone minding their own business and infringing on their rights.

“HOW DARE YOU EXPECT ME TO TAKE REASONABLE PRECAUTIONS FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY!!!!! IT’S TYRANNY!!!!! Wait a moment what’s that black person doing walking unarmed in public!?”

Sue the individual, sue the HOA and if nothing is done, sue the municipality. Hurt (hit) them in the only thing they value.
