Regardless of politics he will be just shy of his 79th birthday on inauguration day 2021. Can we please be done with these ancient white men?

This is as good as any time to exert a some civil disobedience.

Democrats are so out of touch they don’t even realize that there is no legislative or judicial or executive path out of this for the foreseeable. There’s a zero percent chance (it is in fact mathematically impossible) of winning a supermajority in the senate for impeachment, so Trump is staying his full term. The

Being civil, turning the other cheek, staying respectful, etc. are elements of the same, naive, ridiculous aspiration of the Left: as long as we stay true to our values, advocate for equality, and stay civil, everything will turn out in our favor because we were the better person.

Everyone who wants to vote doesn’t necessarily get to, though.

The most powerful form of protest is with your wallet. Even these fascist goons will listen when the money stops flowing in. Don’t stay at Trump hotels (who thafuq would do that?) but more importantly, choose to shun companies that CHOOSE to do business with this administration.

I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so,” she wrote on Twitter.

I was wondering why no one was mentioning that. It’s such a crucial part of this story. This wasn’t Georgetown or Alexandria.

There’s a difference between tolerating something and respecting it. I will tolerate Trumpists. They have the right to free speech and the right to believe whatever their deluded, uneducated, misguided brains and hearts fall for.

I get where you’re coming from but I think you’re being too pessimistic.

Bush Jr politely said didn’t authorize torture but it’s all legal.

Gonna hate to disappoint you (?), but this “centrist” knows damn well that Democrats haven’t exactly been the greatest in the immigration department either.

Ahem:

“During the Obama administration there was no policy in place that resulted in the systematic separation of families at the border, like we are now seeing under the Trump administration,” said Sarah Pierce, a policy analyst at the Migration Policy Institute. “Our understanding is that generally parents were not

If Democrats are responsible for Family Separation because it is the result of their implementation of a Family Detention policy because Republicans couldn’t stop themselves from escalating the policy in a manner that it was not intended, Then:

Uh, admitting that Democrats are complicit is a call to fix systemic failure rather than to assign blame solely to Republicans.

I’m usually one of those. In this instance, that won’t be the case.

I remember talking about how frustrating it was during the campaign to not have a side fighting for amnesty. Don’t get me wrong; I don’t mind want this as a “both sides” point. Trump was and is obviously in a different league.
