The episode when Miranda’s mother dies is excellent. The friendship of the ladies, the difficulty in how to react, just showing up. Excellent episode.

Agreed on being disappointed by the finale! I wanted Carrie to leave the Russian but to also turn down Big.

the episode with Miranda’s mom dying got her the Emmy.
I loved it at the time. Still enjoy watching it now when it pops up on cable.

That gif gives me flashbacks.

The movies were VERY bad, especially the second one, which was downright insulting. The movies have not honored the show’s memory.

“I don’t own a television” doesn’t even mean anything in 2017, because you can just watch everything online/on Netflix, etc. It no longer has the same pseudo intellectual bite.

First seasons weren’t that bad, they had some interesting conversations. Then it was re-tooled, most writers were replaced and it became all about dating and clothes

You’re putting a killed virus into your system. There’s nothing in it that can make you sick; it’s dead.

Now playing

Kim Cattrall was like the female Bruce Campbell back before SATC, a B-list actor you’d be excited to see because she did every role with memorable game gusto.

Thank you. I was around 25 when this debuted. I rolled my eyes at Carrie most of the time but it was fairly fresh. Even at 43 now, I still often think of the episode where Miranda wants to talk about her new Personal Digital Assistant and finally tells everyone off for letting men define their lives. Or the episode

Not to mention Big Trouble in Little China.

Samantha was the only halfway decent one in that whole girl group. She deserved so much better than Carrie as a best friend. I hope in imagination land she’s continuing to be an empathetic, self-loving ho.

I’m one of those people that doesn’t even have a TV, is An Old, and pretends to not know easily-Googled pop culture reference.

This made me laugh! I’d watch this while pre-gaming and getting ready friday nights.. it hasn’t aged well though there are still some stand out quotes, funnily enough from Kim’s character..

Working actors never get the credit they deserve.

Come on — guilty pleasures can be necessary, and SATC actually had some pretty decent writing and strong performances by Cynthia Nixon and others.

I have a guilty pleasure in watching both the piece of shit movies.

I know lots of people who throw the world “flu” around to mean any time they’re not feeling well in the winter. I guess having a “cold” feels too pithy or something? But they never actually have influenza. And of course think the “real” flu is just like a bad cold.

You can have the flu and be asymptomatic, so you may have had the flu without knowing it, making you a carrier who could infect friends and families. Get the shot.

Because she sang a song that she claimed was about body positivity but it was actually just saying “it’s okay guys like fatties too” and it still had the standard ‘us vs them’ elements inherent in “them skinny bitches”....

Or something like that...I dont’ know.
