The Sopranos is complicated though. No, Carmela Soprano isn’t on the cover of the show, but she is, in my opinion, far more complex/interesting than many of the male characters including Tony. Follow the U.K. model. Short seasons and make every episode count. In the US, every show is looking to get at least 100 episodes for syndication dollars.
Peak TV was coined to describe the increase in TV shows at the time when streaming services and cable channels were getting into making original TV for the first time (all while channels that already made original TV were making more original shows).
Personally I would love to see more mini series like Over the Garden Wall. That show was amazing.

I honestly don’t understand most live action shows. Why are there like ten Housewives shows now? Why do shows often claim “realism” when everyone acts like jerks and no one reacts to that remotely realistically?
